Twenty apartments at Tate House on Trafalgar Street, off North Street, have already been sold off plan to both owner occupiers and investors, with plenty more potential sales in the pipeline, according to the exclusive selling agent JLL.

Nina Barker, sales manager at the firm's Leeds office says: 'Since launching the fantastic view apartment in October the amount of interest and intent to buy has been exceptional. Visitors have consistently commented on the size of the units compared to similar schemes in the city, the superior specification and the convenience of the location.'

Tate House is a £9m investment by developer JM Construction (Leeds) and the first phase is due for completion by the end of March next year. It offers a choice of one, two and three bedroom accommodation designed to provide practical and contemporary living space.

An excellent specification includes engineered wood flooring (or Karndean) to the main living areas, a range of integrated appliances and a modern bathroom suite. The two and three bedroom apartments include an en-suite.

Tate House is located in the vibrant and fast developing Northern Quarter of Leeds which now boasts an excellent choice of bars and restaurants, as well as being popular with a range of businesses. It is also directly opposite the new Victoria Gate retail scheme, complete with a 265,000 sq. ft. John Lewis, and close to the First Direct Arena.

Meanwhile the train station is in walking distance and car drivers have direct access to the adjacent inner ring road which connects to the wider motorway network.

'For buyers looking for top notch and attractively priced accommodation in a fantastic location, look no further than Tate House,' says Nina.

Buyers swoop for city centre apartments

A new residential scheme in Leeds city centre is proving to be a big hit with a range of buyers.

Sixty percent of the apartments currently being marketed at Tate House have already been snapped up by owner occupiers and investors keen to beat the forthcoming stamp duty increase on buy-to-let properties and second homes.

Nina Barker, Sales Manager at the Leeds office of exclusive selling agent JLL says: 'The New Year has started with a real bang. There is no doubt that investors are concerned about the stamp duty increase coming into effect in April. This will mean a three per cent surcharge on the standard rate when purchasing additional residential property over 40,000. They are definitely doing the right thing buying now.'

Tate House offers a choice of one, two and three bedroom accommodation with a specification including engineered wood flooring (or Karndean) to the main living areas, a range of integrated appliances and a modern bathroom suite. The two and three bedroom apartments include an en-suite.

The development is located on Trafalgar Street, off North Street, in the vibrant Northern Quarter of the city, directly opposite the new Victoria Gate retail scheme and close to the First Direct Arena.

'Tate House occupies an enviable position in one of the real up and coming parts of Leeds city centre,' says Nina. 'It is also in walking distance of the main retail core as well as the train station which makes it ideal for commuters.'

Apartments start at just 135,000 and can be bought using the Government's Help to Buy scheme.
